Aw snap that was pretty cool! Love me some animation history.

As for the giveaway entry, here goes; Tails' Tale and the character is William Le Duc

thnx for sharing those, you have a good set

I'm supprised people 50 for random cell. I have an animation cell from spiderman that came with a comic book as part of promoting the show in the 90's.

often those are just replicas, and this wasn't just one cel it was a pack of 15. Some cels can go for hundreds of thousands especially if it's a scene everyone knows.

Tails' Tale maybe? ;) This is awesome... checked out the site but I imagine shipping/customs/taxes on that would make this pricey beyond what I'd be willing to pay, last time I sent for some US music customs cost more than the product itself...

But there's always giveaway potential huh. :P Either way this was fun to watch. Nice pack.

i'm in ireland and it wasn't so bad if you choose their cheapest option. Fedex are the real problem! With USPS i didn't get hit with customs the second time i tried

Ah alright you're in the same situation then! Do you get custom fees only over a certain order value over there? This might be possible then...

the point where you said: obviously I should be wearing gloves D;

yes, please do that D;

but very cool otherwise dude~

@Cyberdevil @ZenithQuinn There are number sites that offer an in between option. The basic idea is you ship to a drop box in the US that then ships several items at once. I know this how a some banned countries like Iran are able to shop form US stores, since I had to ship to one that was located near the post office. Here's one I quickly found by searching www.myus.com
Apparently there is an option for US workers. Hmm?

@grimview @ZenithQuinn How do I tell if it is a replica?

the site is legit, you can see the cert of authenticity in my video unboxing.

@grimview That does look useful! Suppose customs may still be a thing regardless but shipping costs probably way lower, counting on their shipping cost calculator it seems I'd be saving money going with them even for just single package stuff too, intriguing how they can keep prices that low...

@grimview @ZenithQuinn @ZenithQuinn I will rephrase, how do I tell if my animation cell that came with a comic book to promote the 90's spiderman cartoon series is a replica or not?

@Cyberdevil My guess is either they are sticking your package with several others from the same country. Or a person is transporting it as part of their cargo luggage. Or they use drug dealers to smuggle into the country. Either way it will may take longer to arrive.
In the case of my sale, the company was collecting packages at a small storage garage with one guy to bring them in. The garage was packed & some where big items like flat screen tvs. They only did a few countries though.
From flying I seen some people bring some large amounts of luggage & heard stories of people taking big boxes of I-phone to china to sell.

@grimview hopefully no drug dealers! XD First two options seem possible though. Or they just have such large quantities to send they can negotiate better rates, maybe have their own transportation even, shipping containers maybe..

Interesting. Regarding the flight items I've been thinking about funding vacations that way myself, though the cheaper countries are far away, and of course, right now that wouldn't work so well either way. It's a fun idea though. Even with small quantities of the right stuff you can sell at a good margin.
