Winner of the Animation Cel contest!

Posted by ZenithQuinn - December 28th, 2020

Congrats to @cyberdevil ! You'll get a random animation Cel from Sonic mailed to you. Direct message me your address. :)

The cels I got are from AnimationLegends.com as they are really affordable due to the randomized selection you get. You get to choose the show and then you get random cels send to you from them, with the certificate of authenticity too. They add new shows every month.

➡️They were nice enough to give me a coupon code so you get 10% off if you use ZENITH10 at the checkout. 🏆

@cyberdevil congratulations!

Aw yeaaah, what an awesome surprise! :D PM on route... thank you!

Just got that cel, thank you! :) Seems to be in good shape too, though I was wondering: is the paper sheet meant to stick to the plastic one? It seems like it might've stuck together a bit in transit if not.

Gotta ask so I don't go trying to separate them if they do come connected. :) Which should be possible. Just a small point of contact.

a lot of them come stuck with the base paper sketch unfortunately, you might be able to separate with the rick of it taking some of the paint with it

Ah good to know. :) Do you have any idea about the value split in regard to the paper/plastic sheets? No value if separated/most value in the plastic? Not that I expect this to be worth a fortune but: just curious. Tis a cool collectors item to have now.

I mean no value if separated as in: if it's only valuable when you have both stages of the drawing, paper and plastic both.

not 100% sure tbh, there's a good animation art collectors group on facebook that talks about cel collecting, some say to keep as is , but if you're wanting to display in a frame it's better to separate it

That makes sense. :) Suppose I'll do some more research before I do either way... thanks again man. Super fun to get this. Plus possibly the biggest padded envelope I've ever seen. :P
